Dusana Bondy, SPMAO President ► Reminder that Fleming College is looking at starting a course on Pest Management and Wildlife Control. Here is the message from Ray Martin at the College: Hi all! Most of you know that I’ve been working with Sir Sandford Fleming College in Lindsay for another attempt at pest management and wildlife damage mitigation training course(s); for those that aren’t aware, surprise! The college is at the point where an application for funding is being sent to the government, and I’ve been asked to reach out for letters of support from industry. If you are in support of this undertaking, please send me a letter stating that you feel this is needed in Ontario, what sorts of skills/knowledge you consider imperative, if you are willing to send recruits/new hires, and if so, an approximate number per year. It would also be helpful to include what time of year would be best for these courses from your business’s perspective. This is gaining momentum at the school, so that is a good sign.
