**IMPORTANT ISSUE**

Due to a recent push from an animal rights activist group “Rodenticide Free Ontario”, some municipalities have been approached and encouraged to ban rodenticide.  SPMAO has been in correspondence with these municipalities providing education and accurate science based information surrounding professional licensed use of rodenticides in and around structures.

To assist our membership and highlight the important issue, SPMAO invites all members and non-members to a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday September 20^th at 1pm EST.  Sandwiches will be provided.  Those that cannot make this meeting/information session in person are strongly encouraged to join remotely via the Zoom link below.

This Town Hall will provide you with resources and information surrounding this issue and allow you to approach your local municipal government with science based data supporting our integrated practices for structural rodent control. 

Attached to this eblast is also a fillable letter that can be sent to your city council or used as a template for correspondences.  SPMAO firmly believes a unified voice on the safe use of rodenticides and other integrated pest management tools is important for our membership.
