SPMAO encourages Members to review the call to action attached and respond to show support in our industry for one of the most important control methods we have – rodenticides. This support goes a long with educating the decision makers and shows a strong united front within our industry across Canada.
Due Date for Submission and Comments is June 19th.

Speaking of Rodenticides: Please find attached a new product available in Canada from Liphatech called Flatline.

World Pest Day has passed, but it is still important to know this day exists!

WORLD PEST DAY – JUNE 6, 2022

“World Pest Day” was initiated by the Chinese Pest Control Association, and co-sponsored by the Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers’ Association (FAOPMA), the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), and the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA).

The inaugural ceremony was held at the Beijing Hotel on June 6th, 2017, with 300 invited guests, including members of the media, industry leaders, and academia. In 2018, World Pest Day was celebrated on June 6 in Portugal, during the Global Summit of Pest Management Services for Public Health and Food Safety.

World Pest Day was created to:

  • Increase public, government, and media awareness of the important role pest management organization plays in protecting public health
  • Project the professional image of the pest management industry
  • Promote the use of professional pest management in a scientific and socially responsible way
  • Call attention to the big threats caused by small pests

The SPMAO Fall Workshop will return as a LIVE meeting in a central location – more details to follow!!
