NOTICE
LICENSING OF WILDLIFE REMOVAL COMPANIES
OPERATING IN THE CITY OF VAUGHAN

COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE – TUESDAY APRIL 16, 2024

On Tuesday April 16, 2024 the City of Vaughan Committee of the Whole (2) will consider and receive input from the public on a staff report that proposes to amend the City’s Business Licensing By-law to introduce a licence for wildlife removal companies. Proposed amendments to the Licensing By-law include, in part:
1. Requiring all wildlife removal companies operating in Vaughan to be licensed;
2. Requiring all wildlife removal companies to develop and maintain policies and records related to their activities;
3. Requiring all wildlife removal companies to use humane trapping and release practices;
4. Requiring all wildlife removal companies to maintain certain standards for vehicles used to transport wildlife.

The public is invited to provide comments with respect to this matter at the meeting:
